	Brother Toby Shedd Senior Pastor Brother Toby was born in 1973 in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School in North Jefferson County. Prior to serving in full time ministry, Toby was employed by Amsouth and Southtrust Banks working with ATM’s and has sold Real Estate. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and Lord in 1979. Toby began his ministry teaching youth Sunday School classes and then served as interim Student Minister before being called full time. Toby earned a bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University in 2002 and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary on May 12, 2006 with a Master of Divinity. He was licensed and ordained by Glenwood Baptist Church located near Morris, Alabama in November 2001. He served as Minister of Students and Associate Pastor for 11 years at Glenwood before accepting the call to serve Smoke Rise. Toby and his wife Alisha were married in 1995 and have three children, Zachary, Hannah and Ella Marie. The family lives in the West Blount area near Mountain Woods Lake. Alisha is a Certified Public Accountant working as an independent contractor with the public practice of Warren, Averett & Kimbrough in Cullman. 	Vince Melvin Minister of Music Brother Vince was born in 1968 and grew up in Midfield, Alabama. He is a graduate of Midfield High School and New Orleans Theological Seminary with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministry. Vince gave his life to the Christ at the age of 20 after realizing that he was a "lost church member". Shortly after giving his life to Christ, he surrendered the call to the fulltime Christian music ministry. Before coming to Smoke Rise, Vince served for ten years as Minister of Music and Seniors at Tannehill Valley Baptist Church in McCalla, Alabama. Music is a vital part of his life. Vince believes that music is a wonderful tool that God uses to break down barriers to help lead others to the throne of grace. Vince and his wife, Angela, have been married for 15 years and have two children. Kayla is 10 and Hannah is 7. They also have a Bassett Hound named Molly and a cat named Barney (named after Deputy Barney Fife). The Melvin's enjoy spending time together and camping. Email: vmelvin@smokerisechurch.org
	Brett Self Pastor to Students Brother Brett Was born on November 12, 1973 in Birmingham, Alabama. He grew up attending Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Birmingham, was saved in April of 1991 and surrendered to the call of ministry in 1992. Brett believes his purpose in life is to bring glory to God by ministering to the Body of Christ, equipping them to be the ministers that God has called them to be. His specific calling is to minister to Jr. High and High School students and he loves to see them discover what God has gifted them with and help them discover how to use those gifts in ministry for Him. Brett graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1992 and from Samford University in May of 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Religion. In the future, he plans to pursue his Master's degree from seminary while working in the local church. Brett has been happily married since 1996 to Kristi (formerly Kristi Linder). They have three boys, Jordan, Brady, and Korey. Brett's favorite pastimes are hanging out with family, playing video games, hunting, and fishing. Email: bself@smokerisechurch.org
	Debbie Caten Receptionist/Secretary Debbie was born in 1953 in Demopolis, Alabama. Growing up in the Norwood community of Jefferson County, she graduated from Phillips High School in Birmingham, Alabama in 1971. She has been married since 1971 and resides in Locust Fork Alabama. She was baptized May 17, 1987 at Locust Fork Baptist Church, where she still attends. She has two children and one step-son. Together she and Roy have seven grandchildren. One of her favorite things to do is spend as much time as possible with her grandchildren. Debbie’s future aspirations include doing some fishing and traveling after her husband retires. 	Mary Thomas Financial Secretary Mary is the Financial Secretary for Smoke Rise. Mary and her husband Mike have been married since Feb 14^th, 1998 and have three children Ethan, Erica and Eli. Mary loves working with and spending time with the youth of our church and watching how God is always working in their lives. 	Belinda Aderhold Food Services Director Belinda Aderhold has been happily married since June 23, 1984 to her husband, Greg. They have twins, Seth and Rosa Lee. In her free time Belinda enjoys cooking, reading, sewing, painting, and watching her kids play sports. Email: belinda@smokerisechurch.org
	Joy Speakman Childcare Director Joy Speakman was born on October 17, 1971. Joy has been happily married to her husband Joey since January, 1993. Joey and Joey have 4 children, Casey, Tori, Trey, and Lori. Joy attends Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hayden, Alabama. In her spare time Joy loves spending time with her children. They keep her family busy between football, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, and cheernastics. In the summer they love tent-camping and enjoying the outdoors. Some of her fondest memories are family trips out west. Joy feels that children are a true gift from God, and quality time you spend with them today will make your children who they are in the future. Joy thanks God each day for her family. Joy feels it is a true blessing to have the opportunity to serve as Director at Smoke Rise Child Care. Our day care program is awesome, and God continues to bless us. 	Cheryl Everett Assistant Director, Childcare Cheryl is the Assistant Director for our Child Care Center. She was born in 1973 and grew up in Gardendale, Alabama. She has been very happily married to her husband Terry for 16 years and they have (1) daughter, Emmali. Cheryl and her family reside in the Smoke Rise community and are members of Smoke Rise Baptist Church. They enjoy spending time with their extended family and friends, dining out, and taking short day trips together. Cheryl considers it a privilege to serve in our Daycare ministry and to have the opportunity to help children and their families find direction in life.
	Lora Prince Director of Preschool Ministries Lora Prince was born on December 21, 1971. She married her husband Derek on June 29, 1996. Lora and Derek have two children, Madison and Harrison. Lora received a Master's of Science in Education degree from Samford University.
